POSITION:

Sr. Technical Specialist (PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint)

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tremco® PUMA Expansion Joint System (EJS) is a monolithic, liquid, Polyurethane-Methacrylate (PUMA) expansion joint system with superior durability and excellent movement capabilities used in conjunction with Tremco’s patent-pending Beveled Anchor Profile to produce seamless, waterproof and air-tight expansion joint system.

The Sr. Technical Specialist (PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint) ensures proper techniques for utilization and application of the patented PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint System in accordance with company and industry guidelines. By providing in-house/on-site training, troubleshooting expertise, and an in-depth knowledge of all application/connection situations.  

Provide primary technical expertise for the patented PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint system by providing a professional level of written/verbal communication regarding product applications and recommendations to the customers and sales representatives; Conduct PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint systems training events and onsite mockups for contractor/applicator training; High level of understanding of concrete design and concrete grinding/chipping/cutting tools or equipment; Use iAuditor to document job site evaluations and communicate observations or concerns with customers and sales representatives; Conduct PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint systems field trials and answer inquiries regarding product usage, competitive product comparisons, web-site navigation, product specifications, repairs, problems, environmental regulations, construction and technical questions; Provide primary, product-specific technical assistance for sales presentations and sales symposiums as requested; Work closely with CAD Specialist to ensure accuracy of application drawings for customers and sales representatives; Laboratory testing (Analytical Laboratory / Test Wall Laboratory) to confirm Tremco and competitive product compatibility and benchmark testing of competitive products/materials; Address formal product complaints and coordinate evaluation of complaints with sales, quality assurance and analytical departments, and liaise with lab to find solution;  and Assist with the development and review of PUMA Liquid Expansion Joint product literature, application instructions and maintain/update field training manuals.

WAGE:

Annual wages of $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per annum based on a 40 hour work week.   Eligibility for annual salary increase and performance based bonus.

EDUCATION:

Two-year vocational diploma or technical training.

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Five years of related experience specific to PUMA or related joint technology systems   

Demonstrated knowledge of  concrete design and concrete grinding/chipping/cutting tools or equipment;

Demonstrated experience in conducting field trials addressing product usage,  product specifications, repairs, problems, construction and technical questions;

Experience in conducting Liquid Expansion Joint systems training events and onsite mockups for contractors/applicator training;
